Het Nationale Catalaanse Assemblee (Assemblea Nacional Catalana, afgekort; ANC) is een Catalaanse civiele maatschappelijke organisatie, ontstaan in; Maart, 2012, die zich, middels een vreedzaam en democratisch proces, inzet voor het creëren van een onafhankelijke Catalaanse staat. ANC Nederland is opgericht in 2013 en is de Nederlandse afdeling van ANC.

ANC is een onafhankelijke, non-profitorganisatie, zonder enige vorm van publieke financieringen en zonder enige beïnvloeding door derden uit de publieke (politieke) en/of private (bedrijven) sector.

ONZE MISSIE VANUIT ANC NEDERLAND

1. Het samenbrengen van mensen in Nederland die zich identificeren met en sympathie voelen voor het Catalaanse onafhankelijkheidsproces. Wij streven ernaar om alle beschikbare informatie, inzake het onafhankelijkheidsproces, te delen en publiek te maken.
2. Het begrip inzake het Catalaanse onafhankelijkheidsproces te vergroten middels actueel nieuws over Catalonië met onderbouwde motivaties voor de Nederlandse gemeenschap, de Nederlandse media en de Nederlandse politiek. Hierbij voorzien wij informatie over de actuele sociaal economische en politieke situatie in Catalonië en organiseren wij evenementen en activiteiten om mensen hierover te informeren.

Zo organiseerde ANC op 11 September, 2012 een demonstratie voor de onafhankelijkheid van Catalonië, te Barcelona, die bijgewoond en gesteund werd door 1,5 miljoen mensen.

Op 11 September 2013, het was een menselijke ketting van ongeveer 400 kilometer in Catalonië – 1.600.000 demonstranten namen deel

De nationale feestdag van Catalonië van 2014 herdacht de 300ste verjaardag van de val van Barcelona, en de afschaffing van de Catalaanse instituties. Overal in het land, en ook door Catalanen in het buitenland, werden herdenkingstekens opgezet. Ook werden herdenkings- en feestelijke bijeenkomsten gehouden, waarvan bij vele de wens werd geuit om verloren vrijheden te herwinnen. Het meest opvallende evenement was de Via Catalana, ook wel V genaamd. Hierbij vulden ongeveer 1,8M demonstranten de Av. Diagonal en de Gran Via.

The Catalan National Assembly in The Netherlands (ANC-Nederland) is Civil Society Organization created in March 2012 that aims to work for the establishment of Catalonia as a new European State through a peaceful and democratic process. It is an independent, not-for-profit organisation, which does not receive any public funding nor take instructions from any public or private institutions.

OUR MISSION

The Catalan National Assembly in The Netherlands aims to:

1. Bring together people living in The Netherlands committed to the Catalan independence process, as well as anyone sympathetic to the cause. We endeavour to make available and encourage the exchange of information related to the independence process.
2. Raise awareness of the Catalan independence movement and the motivations underlying it, to the society, the media and influential parties in The Netherlands. We provide up-to-date information about the current socio-economic and political situation in Catalonia and organise events and activities to this purpose.

General Catalan National Assembly

Catalonia’s national day in 2014 commemorated the 300th anniversary of the fall of Barcelona and the abolition of the Catalan institutions. Over the whole country, as well as the Catalan diaspora, plaques, commemorations and festivities were organized, of which many were characterized by a wish to recover lost liberties. The most striking event was the Via Catalana, also called V, which filled the Avenida Diagonal and the Gran Via with around 1,8 million demonstrators.
